Although Dr. Herbert Benson wrote a fascinating book called Relaxation Response in which he outlined 6 steps to relax deeply, you've probably never heard of pleasure response.
You've probably not heard because I have not talked to anyone about this even less, of course, someone else has thought the same thing and has already said about you.
Before taking, I have a question for you:
Have you ever noticed that when you have to do something but you do not really want to do, or force you to do so - if you have sufficient external or internal pressure - or - if you can get away with it - you do not at all?
Sooner or later, and often sooner, you avoid the activity altogether.
There are many things we should do so would be beneficial for us if we did, but we do not want to do.
Examples abound: balancing your check book, exercising, eating right, better results in your work, and so forth.
The reason why you do not want to do these things is because you put in relation to pain.
It is also easy to make fun Response work for you. All you have to do is to link pleasure to take action. Of course, before you do, please make sure you have to do this switch. Sometimes the pain is a warning. For example, if you do not like your job, you are advised to do something that is closest to your own nature and not be wrong to yourself.
However, assuming that the switch you a world of good, how do you run a "I should do, but I do not want to do it" in a "I want to do and I want to do now?
You can change the associations in your mind.
For example, suppose you do not exercise. You know that your health and energy to qualify but you do not want to do so.
The reason why you do not want to do it because you associate pain to action. You think of discomfort to a sweat, shortness of breath, feeling of physical discomfort, looking absurd, putting up with the ridiculous, and so forth.
Yet May you have noticed that there are other people who love exercise. In fact, they even pay to go to some places where other people are exercising.
What is happening in?
They operate on the pleasure response.
In their minds, they consider improving their cardiovascular health, muscularity, weight loss, health and physiology pure joy of movement energetic. They imagine compliments and glances of admiration. This whole exercise phenomena is a pleasure for them.
Using your mental software called your imagination, you can hold thoughts, feelings and sensations. Run this program long enough and intense enough and you'll reach for tennis racket or gym membership in no time.
The pleasure response. Enjoy yourself and it can live a much happier and productive, wealthier, healthier and life.
Here is a brief checklist for the pleasure response work for you.
1. Identify what you should do but do not want to do.2. Decide if it's something that you should consider not actually make all.3. If you decide it would be very beneficial to do so, then make a list of all mental associations painful that you have with this activity.4. Now write exactly the opposite response.5. Run an imaginary scene in your mind when you're doing and pull a lot of fun. 6. You can amp up the stage with intensity and repetition.7. You have now connected with the pleasure response.
